The son of Ronald Reagan wrote this recently:“We can’t exploit nuclear power or drill for oil in ANWR or the Gulf because Democratic members of congress have been bought and paid for by the most dangerous terrorists in America, the radical environmentalists.
They make the Taliban and al Qaeda look like Mother Teresa’s nuns. They have wreaked such havoc here in the U.S. with their terrorist tactics that the president of the United States is reduced to begging for oil, a plentiful domestic resource but, thanks to them, off-limits to the American people.
We need a surge here at home to deal with these terrorists. With the Capitol Hill Democrats, they are the American people’s deadliest enemies.”
Can you imagine The Great Communicator ever saying anything like that?
Michael Reagan is one of the following:
1. Delusional, if he truly believes this is true.
2. A liar, if he is not sincere.
Now, if you went to the link above, you know that this is from Ketchikan, Alaska. So it is possible he is pandering to the readers but the comments are so egregious that it goes beyond Madman Ms Ann Coulter’s conflated view of liberals as traitorous devil’s spawn.
What drives college-educated Conservative Republicans to such bile? Who knows. Who cares.
But this once again demonstrates why the Violent Radicalization and Home Grown Terrorism Act of 2007 (Anti-Quaker Bill) is not good for America. If the definition of a terrorist, to a conservative Republican, is a radical environmentalist that makes “Al Qaeda look like Mother Theresa’s nuns” …then there is no hope that any good can ever come from this Act.
How many radical environmentalists do you know that have flown multiple planes into multiple buildings and killed 3,000 people? Apparently Michael Reagan does. (Gee, and the liberal press never printed that story. Must be a conspiracy, too. Now where did that tin hat get off to?)
