Updated ten reasons not to vote Republican or Democrat

Update: Here is my current list of reasons to vote against Republicans and Democrats-Sept 2008 

1. Both political parties drive America into debt. Vote for independent candidates who will vote against budget increases and tax increases.

2. Both parties increase the size of the government. Vote for candidates who are against increasing the number of government employees and against any new social programs.

4. Both parties are for sale if you have the money. Vote for independent candidates and obtain better congressional performance on issues.

5. Both parties take extreme positions on individual rights. Republicans want anyone to be able to buy a gun of any type, but no one to have an abortion. Democrats want anyone to be able to have an abortion at any time but want to restrict an individual’s access to guns.
Independent candidates will provide a clear, centrist voice in American politics. Vote for an independent candidate, they are tired of the extremism in Congress.

6. Both parties manipulate the rules of Congress to protect their power in Congress.  Every vote for an independent, or minor party, candidate is a vote for change within Congress itself.

7. Republicans give tax money to businesses and Democrats give tax money to social programs. Vote for a candidate that will reduce federal spending to both groups.

8. Republicans want to punish or control your vices, Democrats want to control your options and restrict your advantages. Vote for a candidate that gives you choices and the education or knowledge to choose wisely.

9. Republicans want to improve the social station hierarchy that is in place, Democrats want to modify that hierarchy to remove any advantages by social station. Vote for candidates that support social mobility for individuals with skills and the development of skills for the less fortunate.

10. Republicans want to run the world for God, Democrats want nobody to run the world. Vote for candidates that want to advance mankind.
