I told you previously about the Consequence Management Response Force that consists of a Brigade Combat Team being based in Georgia
Three brigades form the core of the multi-component, multi-service response force: the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division from Fort Stewart, Ga., the 1st Medical Brigade from Fort Hood, Texas, and the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade from Fort Bragg, N.C.
The BCT is straight from Iraq and is known for clearing out terrorists. They are fighters; not medical rescuers, and not supply troops.
Today we learn that there may be more of these forces coming into play::
”We are now building the first of three CBRNE Consequence Management Response Forces,” NORTHCOM Commander Gen. Gene Renuart said in a statement.
“We have an organized force, a trained force, an equipped force, a force that has adequate command and control and is on quick response to head off to a large-scale nuclear, chemical, biological event that might require Department of Defense support.”
This overt militarization of America does not bode well. The National Guard is your friend. But the Army’s placement of combat troops on American soil bodes ill for America and for democracy.
When you vote this year, think about which candidate will reverse the militarization of America.
Ask yourself: Who will save America from domestic enemies building the capabilities to overthrow the Constitution?
