We are now less than a month away from the presidential and local elections. For 7 months now I have been trying to convince others that both mainstream parties are in concert to destroy America. I called it ‘Two Parties, One Goal’at one time.
I called for everyone not to vote Republican or Democrat and I gave my reasons why I thought you should choose to vote for third party or independent candidates. I pointed to Project VoteSmart that would help you to vote wisely. I highlighted the attacks on the Bill of Rights and I snarked about the hypocrisy in both mainstream political parties.
I proffered new constitutional amendments that would permit the Constitution to keep pace with technology and protect the privacy of Americans. I offered amendments that would permit your State to have more of a voice in federal government and would make it more difficult for the Republican and Democrat Party machinery to control America. I ranted about the Federal States of America vs the United States of America.
But now we are 30 days from the single most important election in your lifetime to protect the Constitution and the United States of America. If you have not absorbed what I have said, I cannot help you and you will not help America. The python of national security will soon tighten upon all of us and I hope that you understand what that will mean for your children. Permanent surveillance, permanent loss of privacy, and permanent records of your children’s lives will be the result.
Now is the time for me to stop expressing myself and allow you to read and think for yourself. It is time for you to listen to others and judge for yourself what it is right for America and for you.
My posts have brought equal parts joy and frustration to me. I have tried to bring to you a reasonable view of current events, a reasonable view of what America should be about, and a reasonable view of what citizens should be questioning within our government. But now is the time for me to stop talking.
I point you to my blogroll and recommend that you visit these sites from time to time. I recommend that you seriously think through who you will vote for and why you are voting for them. Every time you vote, you should consider ‘what does America need now and which candidate will provide that’. I believe that the answer lies outside of the mainstream party process and encourage you to consider independents and third party candidates in your voting choices.
Thanks to my loyal readers. You can always reach me at kindlingman@yahoo.com if you have something that you think I might be interested in.

I, too, will miss my daily dose of RC. Guess I’ll have to get my commentary from the Daily Show…

Thanks for the compliments and the comparison. I also thank you both for your comments in the blog posts.

People fall for the best speaker, the one that articulates anything as long as he(she) articulates well, the one that promises more for us (the poor) the one that will take from the undeserving rich to give to us (the poor) — In the meantime…does anyone stops just a second TO THINK? Think about the country? Sadly, I think not! We are in frenzy that makes clearly thinking a complete impossibility!

Yes, it is time for a new vision at all levels of government. Moving some things from federal to state and then stop doing other things.
We need to send a message of responsibility, reason, and reverence to prevail over co-dependence, cleverness, and commercialism. We need stronger voices. Stronger arguments. And stronger people.
